The Impact and Role of Community Networks in Kenya

Community networks (CNs) are locally owned and operated networks that provide internet access to underserved communities. By leveraging local resources and knowledge, CNs play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide, promoting digital literacy, and preserving indigenous knowledge.

This paper examines the transformative impact of CNs in Kenya, highlighting their role in preserving indigenous knowledge and enhancing digital skills among marginalized communities.
