Onyinye is a human rights advocate, researcher and project management practitioner, with more than twelve (12) years of experience working with national and international development and human rights organizations in Africa. Her experience is mainly in English-speaking West Africa (Liberia and Nigeria).
Her specific expertise includes advocacy, strategic planning, and development, researching human rights violations, partnership building, and development, gender equality, lobbying, fundraising, capacity building, result-based monitoring and evaluation, community mobilization and networking.
Onyinye holds an MSc in political science from the University of Lagos (Unilag) and B.sc (Hons) from the University of Nigeria (Nsukka). In 2015, she served as the short term visiting scholar at the Violence prevention center, University of Michigan, Flint in the USA. She started her career as an assistant programme officer for public safety and security at the CLEEN Foundation in 2006 in Lagos, Nigeria and proceeded to work with various national and international non-governmental organizations in the development and human rights.
